Testing Grazler: A Modern Display Font for Web Projects

I was working on a redesign for a boutique online store that sells handmade jewelry, and I needed a font that would stand out without overwhelming the design. After some research, I came across Grazler, a modern and cool sans serif display font. It had an appealing look with clean lines and a slightly geometric feel that hinted at creativity and minimalism. I decided to test it in the hero section of the homepage.

The first thing I noticed was how well Grazler balanced style and readability. The font didn’t feel too bold or too thin, which is crucial when you’re using it for headlines. I placed it over a full-width image of a necklace against a dark background. The contrast made the text pop, and the spacing between letters felt just right — not too tight, not too loose.

Next, I tested Grazler in the navigation bar and section headings. It worked well as a header font, but I quickly realized that using it for body copy would be a mistake. The weight and size weren’t suitable for long paragraphs. Instead, I paired it with a simpler sans serif font like Open Sans for the body text. This combination gave the site a polished yet creative feel, perfect for the brand’s identity.

I also tried using Grazler for call-to-action buttons. The font’s character added a touch of personality to phrases like “Shop Now” and “Explore Collection.” However, I kept the button text short and used a solid color background to ensure readability, especially on mobile screens where smaller fonts can become hard to read.

One of the most important aspects of any font is its performance on different devices. I checked how Grazler looked on mobile, and while it still looked good, I adjusted the line height and letter spacing slightly to improve legibility. On smaller screens, even a stylish font needs to maintain clarity so users don’t struggle to read key information.

For the product pages, I used Grazler for titles and featured tags. The font’s modern appeal helped highlight each item without making the layout feel cluttered. I also experimented with using it in promotional banners and social media graphics, where its visual impact was strong and attention-grabbing.

When considering typography choices, it’s essential to think about how the font contributes to the overall brand experience. Grazler brought a fresh, contemporary vibe to the site, aligning well with the brand’s focus on craftsmanship and innovation. It wasn’t just about aesthetics — it also helped create a more cohesive visual hierarchy, guiding users through the content naturally.

I also thought about font pairing. Grazler’s geometric style worked well with softer, more traditional fonts. For example, pairing it with a serif font like Merriweather for subheadings created a nice contrast that added depth to the design. This kind of thoughtful pairing is often what makes a website feel both professional and unique.

Before finalizing the font choice, I made sure to check the available styles and weights. Grazler offered enough variation to use in different parts of the site without feeling repetitive. It also supported multiple languages, which was important since the store catered to an international audience.

Another consideration was licensing. Since this was a client project, I needed to ensure that Grazler had commercial use rights. The font came with a clear license that allowed me to use it across the website, digital assets, and marketing materials — something that’s always reassuring when working on branded projects.

Overall, Grazler proved to be a versatile and effective display font for this project. It added a modern touch to the design while maintaining readability and usability across different sections of the site. Whether it was used for headlines, buttons, or decorative accents, it consistently delivered a polished look that aligned with the brand’s goals.

If you're looking for a display font that can elevate your web designs without sacrificing functionality, Grazler is definitely worth considering. Its clean aesthetic, strong visual appeal, and adaptability make it a great choice for a wide range of digital projects, from landing pages to portfolio sites and everything in between.
